SingaRich

Emilie is the first Sister Missionary from our family! (way to represent the ladies) You will be missed, but we know both you and our family will be blessed by your service in the Lord's kingdom. See ya in December!

she can eat like no other

but still knows how to be a lady.

likes to play hard and work hard

but knows she's of noble blood.

she knows when to be tough

and when to be nice.

and almost always takes on more than you think is possible to handle.

But there's no doubt she's ready to work hard in the field, teach others the Gospel, and return home with honor!

Good Morning Baltimore!

We'll miss you Ammon!
You're non-stop energy never ceases to amaze us. But don't wear yourself out too much!

Make sure you eat everything off your plate when being fed by those generous people in your areas.

Stay away from harmful substances.
Stay out of harm's way.
We're all so proud of who you've become, how far you've gone, and can't wait to watch you have adventures in Baltimore serving people out there who have been waiting for you! You're the man for the job.

Grills and Missions

So everyone knows the Wong's love to cook it up. Before our little Ammon left on his mission, by Daddy-o's inspiration, we took some classic shots of our goofy family with all seven of our family grills.
Mom and Dad have surely raised an army of Chef's.

Of course, quite silly. The classic 8-kid line-up photograph (we should get the old ones up here too!). Once we had an even slope when we were little....

But who would have expected we'd measure up like this by height! It's good the boys all turned out taller.

Happy Birthday Julie!

Our sweet Julie Shmulie, Jewels, Queen of Smiles... Happy Birthday! You're our unofficial second mother and really the glue that binds us all together. You know everything about everyone at every second of the day and that's more helpful than you know. Sometimes it may seem like you're overwhelmed, but you help alleviate stress from all of us. We can count on you for anything and everything and you always put others before yourself. You have an infectious smile that makes everyone around you happy and you're so much fun to be with. We love your childlike love for everyone and you are sweet to all people old and young. You're friendly to strangers and supportive to your crazy family. We love you so much! Happy Birthday... you still only look 17!

Happy Father's Day!

Dad, you're the man! What can I say, you've made my life just all around FUNNIER. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I think you are, you're mysterious and sharp like 007, cute and cuddly like Tommy Boy, fast and quick like Jackie Chan, skillful and deathly at a BBQ grill like an Iron Chef, and sensitive and loving like all your favorite Chick Flicks. I'll never forget some of the most fun memories I have of you- apple pies in packages, trips to Mc Donalds for hash browns, movies watching you laugh in the dark, the way you fall asleep in church and no one can tell (well sorta), the way your eyes crinkle when you smile, your "brothas-hey my man!" "indians- you gotta dime" impersonations, your famous "my kids are crazy" eye roll and sigh, when you cuss (it's so funny!), your super awesome storytelling skills, and many other things that make you so one of a kind. In all seriousness, I've learned the quality and value of being unseen and sly like a ninja, helpful and hard working like railroad workers, and loving... just like you and mom.
Thanks for all the ways that you show us you love us. I know that "do you need your oil changed?" is the way you say "I love you." =)
You never like to be the spotlight dad, but you really deserve to be there. You're awesome. He was so deadly in fact that his enemies would go blind from over exposure to pure awesomeness! We should hang out. Agreed.

Happy Mother's Day!

It's hard to know what to say to the woman who not only gave you your life but taught you all about love. Mom, not only am I so lucky to call you my mother, I'm so lucky to call you my friend. You have loved me unselfishly my whole life. You've been there when I was sad, discouraged, under the weather, and low. You've been there on the happiest days of my life and cheered me on my most successful. You've never let me feel like you weren't proud of me and who I've become. I was so lucky to have you at each graduation, at each new turn of my life, and each of my babies' births. As I've grown up and become a mother of my own, I know where your love and daily sacrifice comes from. It comes from your soul and your amazing heart. I once said that you were the kindest person I have ever known and it is completely true. You are selfless and sacrificing and there is nothing you wouldn't do for anyone. Too many times you go unthanked and unnoticed and I want you to know that I notice everything that you do for me and everyone around us. You are the strength and life of our family. You breathe life and happiness into everything we are and have. You keep us together, you keep us a float, you keep us spiritually and physically fed.

Someone stopped me once and said, "you must be Erna Wong's daughter. I can tell by the way you act. You're just like her." That was the greatest and nicest compliment anyone has ever given me. Mom, if I could only turn out to be half of who you are, it will still be the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love you so much. Happy Mother's Day!
